SHOOT: A Neon Rockers dream - Indie Style wedding at the Giraffe Shed

A Neon Wedding Dream for Rockers at the Giraffe Shed in Wales

Believe it or not this has been sat in draft in blog since December, pretty damn appalling i know. It’s so hard sometimes keeping ontop of the business side, there’s so much people don’t actually see that goes on to run a successful wedding photography business. So here i am giving myself a whopping big slap and apologising to everybody. So yeah i’m truly bloody sorry!

This shoot literally went viral, i can’t believe how many blogs were so excited and mad to get this featured… it truly does leave you feeling magical. If this venue is not on your radar then seriously it needs to be!

I’m actually not going to write much on here about the amazing Hannah her stunning venue the Giraffe shed, purely because i have a separate blog post currently in draft which is a mega supplier shout out.

When i first saw all the sneaky posts that Hannah was sharing of the venue being built, and painted, The first vibe that sprung to mind, seeing the pink wall that Hannah had decorated, was colour, and what better way to use colour than a dramatic festival theme. Festivals are totally my jam and there is no better way than to create and design a shoot really putting across my dream, and It was so magically refreshing to be able to create what would be my dream wedding, in my dream location. Damnnn can I get married again please!? I love how you can really be true to who you are, you can throw away your traditions, and party… the most perfect types of weddings, this shoot truly was a bundle of fun, outrageousness with the most totally rad stunning couple from Manchester, a real life couple who are amazing fashion bloggers with a bloody awesome edge.

this is where i say i’m also not going to write much about my gorgeous couple in here either becuase i have already featured them in other blog posts and wrote heavily about them so i’m being super damn careful not to duplicate content.

Now believe it or not, Carefully hand selecting suppliers to be involved is always is mightly difficult, there’s soooo many amazing businesses out there, but to hand select the ones that toally fit the bill, can create your vision from a mood and be able to trust it’s all going to work out… well it’s tough, but it’s also a god damn dream too and what a dream team did we find, everybody working seamlessly together to bring our vision to life. We carefully crafted a vision board, bringing together, fringing, lace, statement flowers with bold pops of colour, ribbons, pom poms, bright confetti, glitter, more glitter and little bit more, body art, dreamy lighting bringing a warmth to the edginess, fedora hats, skinny pants, and leather jackets. I mean come on… that is dreamy right?

We had the most stunning two piece dress from Shikoba bride, which stand alone as a gown was truly exquisite but teamed with a bespoke hand painted festival themed leather jacket by Ophelia rose just literally put the icing on the cake, in fact i loved this jacket sooo much i was desperate to buy it off her, but it didn’t quite fit me at the time, so gutted is an understatement.

Cow and Cake the most incredible watercolour-style cake iith Knock Knock Penny Studio making stunning stationery to match, utilising a handwritten font that wasn’t too perfect, but not too messy either. The colour scheme was bold and bright, totally perfect for a festival-style wedding, and was used by Bespoke Events and Styling in the tables too, with ribbons hanging off the back of the chair and a gorgeous backdrop. Later on the fabulous Lunar Glitter bar even glittered us up (yeah i just had to be glittered too, i will never say no to that) But she created the best most elaborate designs

The whole day was beautiful, beautiful executed with total skill… it could not have looked like it did without the amazing team involved, for that I am truly grateful. If this was a genuine wedding, hand on heart it would literally blow every single guest away… So now all I am longing for, as I am sure many of the suppliers involved are, is to get another opportunity to shoot at The Giraffe Shed, this time a real wedding!

So if you are looking for a unique, exclusive hire venue, with the most breathtaking views for your wedding in 2019, 2020 and beyond, I promise you the Giraffe Shed is what you want to put at the top of your list., it’s certainly top of mine for the forseeable that’s for sure!

Here’s my highlights… Enjoy!
