What do you get when your bride is a professional drag car racer…. Dodge’s at their wedding of course, this was god damn bloody magical.
Have you ever sat in the back of a dodge with no aircon, on what feels like the hottest day of the year doing burnouts… yeah sweat city springs to mind, but honestly, it’s all worth it.
When Laura first dropped into my inbox, learning she was a graphic designer by day and this pro drag racer i was crazy excited and i knew this was going to be an absolutely stunning and magical day…. it did not disappoint!
So let me hand you over to the wonderful Laura and Chris:
Your special details: We went to school together from age 11 but only got together when we randomly got back in touch at 18.
The engagement: A sunny autumn morning in New York City. Chris successfully hid the ring through customs, the flight etc! He had researched hidden parts of Central Park and found a spot down a secret path that lead to the front of The Lake, where he got down on one knee (in the mud!). With jet lag waking us up so early it was actually 7am, so champagne celebrations were substituted with coffee at the Loeb Boathouse. It was perfectly ‘us’!
Your wedding journey : I guess you could say planning it 3 times due to COVID was a challenge! It was hard riding the wave of ups and downs of postponement, but things always work out eventually. Being a graphic designer I loved doing all my stationary, having fun with it and trying to come up with some original ideas. We knew we wanted a barn-style wedding and swancar just offered everything and more, they made it very easy for us!
